Sharon (Bennett) Dubay

SANGERVILLE – Sharon (Bennett) Dubay, 71, died Sept. 10, 2012, at her home. She was born May 13, 1941, in Lake View Plantation, daughter of Donald and Pauline (Hamlin) Bennett.

She graduated from Dexter High School, class of 1959. She worked for Fay & Scott, Dexter, for several years, and later worked for Guilford- Sangerville Water District for more than 30 years. She was a member and past chairman of SAD No. 4 School Board for many years, and was also a member of Sangerville Planning Board. Sharon was an excellent seamstress, cook and hostess, and enjoyed caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening and growing her black-eyed susans and flox flowers.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Carroll J. Dubay of Sangerville; two sons, Gregory Dubay and wife, Karen, of Nashua, N.H., and Eric Dubay and wife, Stephanie, of Lincoln; brother, James Bennett of Wakefield, Mass.; sister, Bonnie Fitzpatrick of Bangor; grandson, Matthew Dubay, whom she adored; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Dan Bennett.
