Estelle J. Bouchard

FORT FAIRFIELD – Estelle J. Bouchard, 92, wife of the late Willard Bouchard, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 7, 2012, at a Presque Isle nursing facility, after a brief period of declining health. She was born Oct. 24, 1919, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Levesque) Guerette.

She attended Eagle Lake schools and was married to Willard Bouchard, Aug. 10, 1937, and had been a communicant of Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, for many years. She was a resident of Fields Lane, Fort Fairfield, from 1979 to 2011, where she was a member of the Sunshine Club. She will be remembered by her family as a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bouchard was predeceased by her husband, Willard, Aug. 5, 1997; one special grandson, Michael Bernard; and three brothers, Albert, Roland and Wilfred Guerette. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Jackie Bouchard of Whitsett, N.C., and Daryl and Tammy Bouchard of Presque Isle; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Ray Sager of Port Reading, N.J., Velma and Larry Doak, and Marcella and Roger Bernard, all of Fort Fairfield; one brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Ester Guerette of East Hartford, Conn.; three sisters-in-law, Susie Bouchard of Westfield, Kay Bouchard of Millinocket and Jean Guerette of Hartford, Conn.; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Bouchard extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Presque Isle Nursing Home for the exceptional care given to Estelle during her stay.

Friends may call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main St., Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, celebrant. Interment will take place after the Mass at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the interment at Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Bouchard to St. Denis Catholic Church Memorial Fund, care of Parish of the Precious Blood, P.O. Box 625, Caribou, ME 04736. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
