Pedestrian hit by car in Rockland

ROCKLAND, Maine — A man was injured Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a car on Route 1.
Details were not immediately available. Rockland police and emergency medical staff responded to the incident that occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Camden Street by the Breakwater Marketplace.
The man was conscious as he was being treated at the scene for at least a leg injury. A car with New Hampshire license plates was parked on the side near the crash scene.
Police said information would be released by Thursday morning.
