Montenegro to present award to former Maine adjutant general

AUGUSTA, Maine — Retired Maj. Gen. Bill Libby of Waterville, the former adjutant general of Maine, will be recognized by Montenegro this weekend for his leadership and efforts in establishing an official State Partnership Program between Maine and the Balkans nation.

The president of Montenegro, Filip Vujanovic, has authorized the awarding of the Montenegrin flag (second degree) medal to Libby. The medal will be presented to Libby by the Montenegrin Minister of Defense, Milica Pejanovic-Djurisic, at a ceremony Saturday at Camp Keyes in Augusta.
