Comments for: National, state leaders should not forget victims of circumstance

    Under employment, thanks mostly to “free trade”, is as big of a problem as unemployment. I wonder if the people hollering the loudest about welfare costs in this state realize just how many people who are receiving government cheese go to work every day? They just work for “public assistance” wages. We have to at least be honest with ourselves about where the problem lies, if we are to have any hope of fixing it. I think we need to turn “free” trade into fair trade and put America back to work at a living wage. Then we would all prosper.
