By Judy Harrison, BDN Staff

LINCOLN, Maine — An elderly Lee driver suffered minor injuries Sunday when the vehicle rolled over after he was unable to negotiate a turn on the Half Township Road, according to Lincoln police.

William Brewer, 83, was driving his 2008 Buick sedan north toward Route 6 when the accident happened about 1 p.m. Sunday, Detective Dave Cram said Monday.

Brewer complained of pain and was transported to Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln, Cram said. Brewer was kept overnight for observation and released Monday.

The Buick, which rolled over once and landed on its roof, was demolished, according to the detective.

Cram said speed was considered to be a factor in the accident. Lincoln police are continuing to investigate whether alcohol might have been a factor, he said.

As of Monday, no tickets had been issued, the detective said. (Judy Harrison, BDN)
