BRUNSWICK, Maine — A 19-year-old man and his 17-year-old brother were arrested Monday after they allegedly assaulted another 17-year-old male on Perryman Drive.

Brunswick police were called to a fight in progress reported on Perryman Drive at 3:56 p.m. Monday, but Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said the suspects had left by the time police arrived. The brothers were said to be driving a black Mitsubishi with a fin on the back. Hagan said Sgt. Russ Wrede located the suspects moments later at the Cook’s Corner intersection and pulled them over.

Zachary White, 19, of 2500 Pinecroft Road, Greensboro, N.C., was arrested for assault. The 17-year-old brother, of Auburn, was arrested for assault as well as a probation hold.

The two brothers allegedly approached the 17-year-old victim and started punching him, starting the fight “for no apparent reason, according to witnesses,” Hagan said Thursday.

The victim was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
