HERMON, Maine — Hermon Family Dental is set to open Tuesday in Danforth Plaza on U.S. Route 2. To mark the occasion, Dr. Benjamin Phillips and his staff will hold a grand opening and open house beginning at 10 a.m.
Phillips, a general dentist, completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University. He went on to Colorado State University for post baccalaureate coursework in biochemistry before attending the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where he also completed an externship in oral surgery and a minor in endodontics.
After graduation, he practiced dentistry in the Bangor area, where he treated a variety of patients, from children to adults.
Hermon Family Dental is a state-of-the-art practice focusing on the patient experience and high-quality dentistry, according to a news release announcing the latest addition to the town of Hermon’s business community.
Phillips, who lives in Hermon with his family, is a member of the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association and Penobscot Valley Dental Society.
He has completed continuing education in many aspects of dentistry and believes in offering comprehensive, high-quality care in a comfortable and calming environment for the whole family, the news release said.
Services include fillings, cosmetic dentistry, whitening, crowns, root canals, dentures and partials, extractions and minor orthodontics.
In addition, the waiting room has free Wi-Fi and beverages and a kids’ room with video games and toys.
The practice is completely digital and virtually paperless. There are televisions in each of the treatment rooms and the practice uses the latest materials and techniques.
