EASTON, Maine — The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency has arrested a 30-year-old Easton man for manufacturing methamphetamine, agents say.

Darrell Crandall, MDEA division commander, said Thursday afternoon that the agency’s lab team is still searching Brian White’s mobile home at 529 Houlton Road.

According to Crandall, the MDEA was alerted to suspicious activity on Wednesday night and responded to the Easton address.

A search of the area resulted in agents locating White in his 1999 Ford sedan. Police did not say what they found in the vehicle, but White subsequently was charged and his car seized.

Agents also secured his mobile home and began working on a search warrant. The warrant was approved and agents executed it at 2 p.m. Thursday.

The agency is being assisted by the Department of Environmental Protection, Easton Fire Department and the Maine State Police.

The investigation is ongoing.
