ELLSWORTH, Maine —  The final element of Grand auditorium’s restored marquee was lifted into place by a crane Tuesday.

Workers from the Hudson, N.H., company Barlo Signs, restored the marquee to its original 1938 design, with the addition of electric reader boards.

The Grand will hold a ceremonial lighting of the restored marquee, with live music and a free showing of “His Girl Friday” on Friday, Sept. 7.

The festivities begin at 6 p.m.
