OAKFIELD – Philip E. Brannen, 92, died Aug. 22, 2012, in Houlton. He was born Feb. 15, 1920, in Millinocket, the son of Owen and Claudia (McLaughlin) Brannen.

Philip was a dairy farmer from Oakfield and was also an employee of Bangor and Aroostook Railroad.

He is survived by his five daughters, Tonia Hosford and her husband, Dallas, of Bangor, Rebecca Bolstridge and her husband, Michael, of Kenai, Alaska, Paula Morse and her husband, Dale, of Naples, Carmen Cyr and her husband, Billy, of Oakfield and Jennifer Nelson of Soldotna, Alaska; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Rena Crandall of Oakfield. He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis (Little); daughter, Edna Jean Brannen; and sister, Natalie McGraw.
