HERMON — Fourteen-year-old Emma Libby of Glenburn led from the drop of the green flag to the checkers in the Ladies Division at Speedway 95 Wednesday night and also won the 25-lap, three-race series.
Danielle Beal of Hampden led briefly on the restart after a lap 3 caution, but quickly relinquished the lead to Libby. Beal eventually was knocked out of the race when a broken wheel sent her car onto its roof. She was unhurt.
Amy Hood of West Enfield took the second spot with Winterport’s Chelsea Young finishing third. Fourth went to Angela Davis of Frankfort with Becky Elston Burns of Carmel fifth.

Racing continues Saturday at Speedway 95 when the Dysart’s Late Models race 75 laps for $1,500 in the Team Morgan shootout. The event also includes more than $2,500 in lap money.
A fireworks show will also be presented, along with racing in the Sportsman, Strictly Street, Sport-Four and Bomber divisions.
