BANGOR – Mary A. Savage, 83, passed away Aug. 20, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 24, 1929, in Portland, the daughter of Homer W. and Marion (Gray) Stevens.
Mary lived most of her life in Bangor, and will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother and friend.
She is survived by her son, Michael D. Savage; daughter, Melissa J. Savage, both of Bangor; a sister, Natalie Rogers of Salisbury, N.C.; nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents; husband, Francis C. Savage Jr.; and by a brother, Glenn Stevens.
A memorial service to honor Mary’s life will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Church of Latter-day Saints, 639 Grandview Ave., Bangor. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Mary A. Savage Memorial Eastern Maine Medical Center Intensive Care Unit Fund, care of Healthcare Charities, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931.
