Edward S. Connors

HERMON – Edward S. Connors, 54, died unexpectedly Aug. 20, 2012, with his loving wife at his side at a Bangor hospital. Ed was raised in Reading, Mass., the son of the late Vincent and Margaret Connors.
He graduated from Reading Memorial High School, class of 1976, and was a 1980 graduate of the University of Maine, Orono. Ed was a longtime employee of Superior Paper Co., Bangor, and at the time of his death, he was employed by C & L Aviation Services, Bangor. Ed was a cherished son, father, papa, brother and friend to all. He embraced life to the fullest. He valued family and friends and was a devoted caregiver to his loving wife of 27 years. Ed was also known as the mayor of the neighborhood!
Surviving are his wife, Jeanne M. (Scofield) Connors of Hermon; one son, Dereck J. Connors of Cornville; three grandchildren, Dereck A., Logan and Austin J.; five siblings, Joseph Connors and his wife, Anne Gaquin, of North Reading, Mass., Mary Connors and her husband, Chris Gill, of Seattle, Michael Connors and his wife, Ann MacSweeney, of North Reading, Mass., Ann Connors-Cook and her husband, Tom Cook, of Hamilton, Mass., and Peggy Daly and her husband, Tim Daly, of Reading, Mass.; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at East Orrington Congregational Church, with the Rev. Carl Schreiber, senior pastor, officiating. A reception will be immediately after the funeral service in the Carlson Hall. Interment will be at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon.
