Is the second guy really just Keith Richards masquerading?

Do you think they need help, Hell yea they do put them to work in jail, on Maine highways in something in bright color so we all can see them. Hard work chopping wood, scrubbing floors picking up trash anything to make tax payers feel better and themselves. To know that I pay for there food housing water heating on my taxes makes me mad. I don’t even house my own family for free. Work will teach them

Make them go out and help some of the elderly that live at home. Bring in the wood, shovel the snow out of their yard, etc. After all that, maybe they won’t need a fix of some drug to make them feel good.

Put them in a padded room until they quit vomiting and twitching, then when that phase of the addiction is over put them on the chain gang for a year.
Then we will see how atractive drugs look to them when they get out of jail. It might even turn them into productive members of society.

I agree with you, but have to ask what that has to do with a Keith Richards look-alike remark?

  • A couple buckets of wire with insulation on it what is it worth $30 Not worth the damage or the record.

And you said you that you’re a cop?

      •  I am not a cop never was 2 star general lol  I spent a week in the ping pong room . Lesson well learned

Look at that Beutiful girls face, look at her pupils. It’s written all over her face. Heartbreaking. Hope she gets the help she truly needs.  The State of Maine needs to make it so that parents and loved ones can get the help they need when they are truly in a place where they can’t make that decision for themselves.

The only way to beat addiction, is to make the decision yourself and carry that decision out yourself. What is your plan? The state involuntarily lock people down and put them into treatment? I’ve seen people in and out of treatment several times, and nothing works unless the individual makes the decision and commitment on their own.

Oh please!  Another good excuse.  She messed up and let her do the time.  It’s about time people were held accountable for there actions in this country!

Just waiting for someone to say, “Don’t be judgmental.”

        It shouldn’t be too long.

No kidding…maybe their friends/family will start posting about what great people they are, and “how dare you judge them.”

Yep, you can screw up and then if somebody calls you on it, YOU are the bad guy.  I have zero sympathy for druggies.  I don’t care what their home life was like, or how “predisposed” to alcoholism they might be or how tough things have been for them. They do nothing but commit crime, get locked up on the taxpayers’ dime or “get the help they need” as the libs would say…..on the taxpayers’s dime.

Their ages are 19, and 2 are 21. They all look 30 or older. I can see where they will be in 20 years if they aren’t dead from drugs. They can file for “disability” and live of us for the rest of their lives.

You nailed it on the head. This happens all the time all over the country. They are the victims, and we are the ones who are responsible for making them the victims because of all the repression created by the right, therefore we are the ones that shall provide.

The State of Maine has an abundance of help available.  There really is no excuse.  They have ample resources to get help if they are addicted to drugs and that’s why they were stealing.  Perhaps they aren’t, but most any law enforcement person will tell you that the number one reason for this type of ‘scrapping’ is to pay for a drug habit.  If this is the case with this trio, clearly they have yet to hit rock bottom and make the decision to clean up.

They’re still young.  That’s one thing they have going for them. I hope they make the right choice, but maybe a stint in jail would help them facilitate that decision.  One can only hope.  It’s ultimately up to all of them to straighten out and fly right.

They DO get “help”. It’s called the methadone clinic! They get Mainecare to pay for that! They’re the reason why most of the people who have real illnesses can’t get medical coverage through the state. Too many of the drug addicts on the state program!!

      • Anonymous

I know people in recovery who had been on methadone. They did not find it helpful and it was tougher to quit than heroin. It is also a way to keep addicts dependent on a drug. Now the same thing is happening with Suboxone. The history of using drugs to treat addiction in this country is not encouraging. Every solution creates its own problem. Unfortunately, it is not always a lesser problem. Methadone clinics are big business and I suspect the same is true for Suboxone treatment.

I totally agree with you!! :) These programs are allowing the drug addict to remain a drug addict…..at our expense!

    • jdtex

You don’t get it – these people don’t give a damn about anything but their government check.  That’s the only ‘help’ they want.  Put away your tissues and wake up to the harsh reality.

The help they truly need is about 5 years each…

    meth heads

  • Just a note for the editors.  The house was “Vacant” NOT abandoned.  If the house had been abandoned (no owner) removing it piecemeal would not be a crime.

Old town must have a higher class of thieves then we have up here.  Here they go in to houses where people are actually home and steal stuff.

Bring back capital punishment , I hear that somewhere in the middle east they cut off your fingers or hands if you are caught stealing. For sure they won’t do it again !
