Police to take on UM hockey players on softball diamond, raise money for Special Olympics

ORONO, Maine — Area law enforcement will take on University of Maine hockey players for the third Blue on Blue softball game to raise money for Maine’s Special Olympics.

The game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at UMaine’s Mike Kessock Softball Field. The event is free and open to the public.

Food and 50-50 raffle tickets for prizes, such as gift certificates to area businesses and UMaine hockey memorabilia, will be on sale.
