For 57 years he lived in the home that he had built, and then in the apartment that he built with the help of Charles Durost until his passing. In the later years, he loved to read and devoured many books with his reading buddy, Nancy Beals. He also enjoyed watching the alpacas from his living room window. Dad, “Papa” you will be missed, but we are at peace knowing that you are in a far better place and looking forward to the day when we shall meet again. He was a member of First Free Baptist Church of Blaine and Aroostook Lodge No. 197.

Papa will be dearly missed by his four grandchildren, Tracey Milliard and husband, Steven, LauraLee Durost and husband, Troy, and Joshua and Ian Clockedile; and great-grandchildren, Courtney, Logan, Bailee, Emilee, Will and Maizy. He was predeceased by a brother, Elbridge Hoyt; and two sisters, Una and Geraldine Hoyt.
