BANGOR, Maine — An Abbot man who was found passed out behind Leadbetters Ministop on Hammond Street was arrested Thursday night for a bail violation.

Robert Dyer, 47, reportedly had two beers near him — one empty and one partially full — when Bangor police arrived to investigate, Bangor police Lt. Tom Reagan said Friday, citing an arrest report.

Dyer, who did not require medical attention, was charged with violating the conditions of a prior arrest that prohibited him from drinking, Reagan said. As of Friday evening Dyer remained at Penobscot County Jail, where he is being held pending a court appearance.
