Look for someone who has never read a history book.

I’d like to think that would make a difference, Wood, but w/some of the “me first” types out there, one has to wonder.

      • Anonymous

You think they were educated in Maine? Don’t look down upon them though.

    • Anonymous

What the hell is that thing next to the ‘swastika’ supposed to be?

      • Anonymous

        I’m guessing a fist.

Theres another one on the back of a postal lock box across from the trailer park in hampden

      That’s a Federal offence.

Remember folks the swasticka was a symbol of peace before Hitler gave it a bad name.   Don’t let a vandal ruin sometime with something they know nothing about.

  • Anonymous

Its funny when idiots make swastikas. They never make them correctly.

    • Anonymous

      Possibly a left handed POS.

you made this city what it is bangor councilors…bath salts, homelessness, vandalism, and  other crime. good job.

    • Anonymous

Yes they are bussing in morons day and night.

Sometimes…the things stupid people do are caused solely by the stupid people’s stupidity.

    • Anonymous

And the city fathers are responsible for “bath salts, homelessness, vandalism, and  other crime” how?

      • Al Brady

by welcoming the filth and the scum

There’s grafitti all over downtown. Worse than it’s ever been. When I lived in a downtown apartment I used to see the guy from Code Enforcement jogging the downtown on Saturday mornings around once a month or so with his dog making lists of the marked properties. Usually within a week it was cleaned up.  We met because our dogs would play… How come he doesn’t do it anymore? He needs to!

The graffiti terrorists are on my list.

  • CaptainLB

what the?i see that evil is on the rise ive know Bill Rae for 20 years and the guy has only help bangor what kinda of @#$%#@  head would do something so stupid (you should feel real proud of yourself  scumbag)

  • Anonymous

Well Bill.  It dosen’t look like much of a sign anyway.  Just take some white paint a spray paint over it…. 99 cents it might cost ya…

    • hey-I’m-your-man

Its not the issue of painting overe the sign, its the issue of ruining something that someone else owns. If it not your keep you paws to yourself.

If they catch the loser who did this,  they shouldn’t give him jail time. Instead, the loser should have to pay for supplies out of their own pocket, and personally paint the sign up to fix it, as well as do any other repairs that are needed at Manna Ministries. Maybe then they would learn to respect other people’s property.

  • stupid kids

  • Al Brady

    lolipop gang?

  • Anonymous

my advice to the childish prankster would be to spend the time it took to think that up and do it brushing your teeth and getting a library card.

    • Anonymous

Except now the damage is done. It will cost money to replace. Money better spent on Manna’s mission. These are more than “childish pranksters.” They destroy property.

    • Anonymous

I don’t think that this is a prank. It’s clearly a case of domestic terrorism.

  • Anonymous

Omg you have got to be kidding me ..when I first read this headline I said oh boy bill will need 10 grand for a new sign and sure enough the bottom of the article says he don’t have enough money for a new sign….number one a little paint would work and number two, your sign looks like a plastic banner over wood? Really man, stop… just stop bleeding the system ..I figured u out a long time ago and you know it! I now donate elsewhere …would love to see an audit of your books!

Gay activists at work in their continued attack on Christians…..They did the same to a Chic-Fil-A…Ever wonder why they don’t try this crap with Muslims ??

    • Anonymous

Yesiree, anytime Christians go through this, just point the finger at the gays. Doesn’t matter who actually did this. ALL them gays are suspect.

    • Anonymous

You’re disgusting. You have no basis to make a claim like that.

    • Anonymous

Yes….clearly it was those evil ‘gay activists’ who are so very fond of the swastika- I believe they are incorporating it into their rainbow flag very soon.  Those poor picked on ‘christians.’  I also hear gay activists are now controlling the earth’s tectonic plates and are plotting to target certain ‘christian’ cities with earthquakes and let’s not forget the drought in the midwest those dastardly gays have a weather machine which controls all the rain……now that we have ALL that settled….you need to INCREASE your medication.

  • Anonymous

The swastika isn’t “dead set against Christianity” as Rae states. I’m sorry for pointing that out but it seems that many people are misinformed.

  • Anonymous

Probably the same people who painted the mailboxes on the Old County Rd in Hampden.  The road also has a swastika painted on it, closer to the Hampden side

  • There’s a few options.  Cover it with duct tape, paint over it with white paint, or get some strong paint remover and clean it off.  You don’t have to go replacing it if the sign isn’t delicate.
