BANGOR, Maine — Shoppers were left in the dark briefly Monday afternoon by a power outage at the Bangor Mall.

Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. spokeswoman Susan Faloon said the outage, reported at 12:56 p.m., likely was due to a problem with underground equipment.

Power was restored to the mall at 1:24 p.m., according to Faloon.

A mall spokeswoman said there was a fair number of shoppers in the mall when the outage occurred, and that business was back to normal around 2 p.m. printed on August 18, 2017
