It is embarrassing and dated. What difference does it make whether you’re gay or not?

I thought Eagle Scouts had brains and integrity……..huh.
     At least 5 don’t, I guess.

They are all typical, Maine, White, Bigots, except for the five….LOL

Being involved with the scouts in my area, I agree it is important to keep gays out of this organization. A gay could make easy prey out of unsuspecting boys.

That’s bigoted nonsense. Gay people aren’t child molesters. Being gay isn’t the same as being a pedophile. Obviously.

    • Anonymous

This is an outright lie; pedophilia is not homosexuality.

DRGuide- I was a scout too, and your view is grossly wrong an uneducated.

Prejudice has nothing to do with integrity, honor, or brains.  Shame on the Boy Scouts’ leadership that shows such poor moral judgment.

  • Anonymous

I deplore the Boy Scouts policy on this issue, because it does not make children any safer and only serves to ostracize gay youths who might otherwise benefit from scouting programs.

However, I will defend their right to make this decision for themselves. The Boy Scouts are a private organization, and as such deserve the right to admit or deny membership to anyone they want, for any reason.

We cannot legislate morality, so if the Boy Scouts want to act immorally against gays, that’s their right (even if they’re wrong).
