BANGOR — Ben Crichton doubled home a run in the first and tripled in three in the second as Bangor eliminated Holbrook 10-0 in five innings in District 3 Junior League baseball action Tuesday at Mansfield Stadium.
Bangor will play Hermon in the championship round at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. If Hermon loses, then an if-necessary game follows at 7:30 p.m. in the double-elimination tourney.
Ryan Brookings, Ryan Moore and Nic Moore combined to toss a four-hit shutout for Bangor (4-1). Brookings got the start and went 3⅔ innings, striking out seven and walking none.
Nic Moore added to the offense with a two-run triple in the first.
Brookings added a double and a single with two RBIs, and Kyle Stevenson added a double and a single.
Jon Wood, Alex Maxsimic, Cole Bouchard, and Morgan Slater each singled for Holbrook (3-2).

In Bucksport, Devin Grindle pounded a single, double and three-run homer to lead Coastal past Bucksport.
Caden Mattson posted four singles and a double for Coastal, Austin Snow added three singles, Logan Lord and Ethan Kane each had a double and a single and Jeremiah Scheff hit two singles.
Luke Wardwell led Bucksport with a double and a single, Jacob Ames hit a triple and Jacob Donnell had two singles.
