Thunderstorm knocks out power to 200 in Bangor

By Alex Barber, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — Bangor Hydro reported a couple hundred outages to its customers along Ohio Street, Griffin Road and Finson Road due to a thunderstorm on Tuesday night.

A Bangor Hydro crew was in the area to try to restore power, said Bangor Hydro spokeswoman Susan Faloon.

“Depending on what they find, they don’t expect [power to be out] too long, but if the storm continues, it could be longer,” said Faloon, who said the estimated time of power being restored is 11:30 p.m.

Bangor Hydro’s website has a live outage map that tracks current outage numbers.
