28-year-old Waterville woman charged in South Portland bank robbery

Police released this surveillance image from a South Portland TD Bank that was robbed Thursday, July 5, 2012. Police arrested Jamilee Kus of Waterville early Sunday, July 8, 2012 and charged her with robbery and theft in connection with the incident.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — A 28-year-old Waterville woman has been charged with robbery and theft in connection with a bank robbery near the Maine Mall.

South Portland police say Jamilee Kus was arrested at 1 a.m. Sunday after being stopped on Interstate 95 in Scarborough.

Kus is accused of entering the TD Bank branch on Maine Mall Road in South Portland about 7 p.m. Thursday and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say Kus did not show a weapon, but indicated she was armed.
Police say she was seen entering the passenger side of a nearby vehicle after leaving the bank.
