ELAINE HELEN (DYER) RANDALL

HAMPDEN – Elaine Helen (Dyer) Randall, 81, died peacefully July 5, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Somerville, Mass., the daughter of Franklin and M. Ruth (Leonard) Dyer.

Elaine enjoyed researching her family tree and doing genealogy. She loved her hobbies and crafts such as cross-stitching and needlepoint, and loved to read. Elaine was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, Brewer. She worked as a secretary throughout the years at Canteen, Northeast Health Planning, Caterpillar, and Maine Foster Parents. More than anything she loved her family and adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Lawrence Randall of Hampden; three daughters, Kathy Randall Hatch of Trenton, Gail Randall Weathers and husband, Barry, of Topsham and Rebecca Randall Thibodeau of Bangor; grandchildren, Melissa Malacaria, Erin Weathers, William Weathers, Brittany Weathers, Molly Weathers, Mckenzie Weathers, Vaughn Thibodeau and wife, Amanda, and Jonathon Thibodeau; and a great-grandson, Ryan Thibodeau.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Roger Davis, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Brewer, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service.
