Man robs Milford redemption center, escapes with cash

MILFORD, Maine — Police are searching for a man who held up the Main Road Redemption Center on Monday afternoon and escaped with cash, according to police.

The suspect entered the establishment around 12:35 p.m. with his face concealed, and no weapons were involved, Detective Bill Flagg of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. He fled into the woods with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officials from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police and Maine Warden Service conducted a search into the evening but the suspect was not located, Flagg said.

The detective said authorities are in Milford investigating the case. The suspect was described as a white male, 6 feet tall and weighing roughly 200 pounds.
