Morris powers Bangor Legion baseball team past Lumber

MILLINOCKET — Dylan Morris doubled, singled and drove in three runs to back up winning pitcher Tyler Laplante and help lead the Bangor Comrades to an 8-1 American Legion baseball victory over the Northern Lumber Monday.

The Comrades improved to 9-0.

Brendan Moore chipped in with two singles and an RBI for Bangor and Christian Corneil added a single and RBI.

Dustin Sawtelle and Parker Walker each singled for the 2-7 Northern Lumber.

Brewer 7, Hampden 5

At Hampden, Jordan Carter doubled, singled and drove in two runs to help Brewer edge Hampden.

Nick Moore chipped in with two-run double for 5-4 Brewer and Billy Deredin doubled.

Justin Kasprzak recorded two RBI singles for 5-5 Hampden and Sean Smith added a single, double and RBI.

Coaches are required to list information for both teams, with first and last names of players. Info should include key highlights and stats for leading hitters and pitchers.
