Thompson leads Lincoln LL All-Stars past Orrington

LINCOLN — Logan Thompson allowed only three hits and a walk while striking out seven as Lincoln improved to 2-0 and eliminated Orrington 6-0 during Little League All-Star baseball action in the ages 11-12 tourney Monday.

Bradley Ketchem doubled, singled, drove in two runs and made a straight steal of home to help propel the Lincoln stars. Zach Grant chipped in with an RBI single and was also part of a game-ending double play when he snatched a line drive and threw to first baseman Demiken Sabattis for the second out. Max Woodman chipped in with a double and Connor Robertson singled.

Matt Abbott, Tyler Bean and Anthony Wardwell each singled for Orrington. Orrington collected two double plays, the first in the third inning when Tim Ford tagged a runner and threw to Conor Libby and the second in the sixth inning when Libby recorded an unassisted twin-killing.

At Bucksport, Kyle Nicholson hit two singles to spark Acadian past Bucksport.

Nick Duley and Brett Dulely each deliverd a two-run double. Nicholson and Brett Duley combined on the pitching win.

James Terrill led Bucksport with a double. David Gross and Roger Foss each singled.

Coastal 14, Machias 2

At Machias, Bryce Harmon belted a three-run home run and an RBI single to spark a 14-hit attack that carried Coastal past Machias .

Jacob Keenan stroked a two-run homer and a two-run single for the winners and Taylor Schildroth rapped two doubles and single good for three RBIs. Jacob Keenan (five strikeouts) and Stefan Simmons (3) each pitched two innings.

Rigel Look and Nevin Gray hit RBI singles for Machias.
