Parke powers Bangor East LL All-Stars by Sebasticook


NEWPORT — Tyler Parke’s three-run home run in a six-run fourth inning helped propel Bangor East by Sebasticook Valley in a Little League District 3 All-Star game in the ages 11-12 tourney Saturday.

Nick Crichton chipped in with two singles, a double and three RBIs for the winners. Zach Ireland and Brandon Robinson each added a double, with Ireland driving in a run. Gabe Coffey and Zach Murray chipped in with a single and RBI apiece, Kyle McCue drove in a run and Charlie Budd singled.

Zach Hartsgrove singled twice and drove in two runs to lead Sebasticook. Cody Rice, Kobey Ramsdell, Ethan Newcomb, Jorren Von Oesen and Ben Southwick each added a single with Rice driving in two runs. Josh Perry also drove in two runs and Tyler Seavey plated one.

Brewer 14, Katahdin Valley 2

At Brewer, winning pitcher Josh Pellegrino aided his own cause with a home run and single to propel Brewer to victory.

Miles Kirby chipped in with three singles for the 2-0 winners while Hunter Umel and Kobe Rogerson each added two.

Jakob Malone and Brad Guiggey each notched a single for 1-1 Katahdin Valley.

D1 baseball, 9-10

Bucksport 9, Calais 6

At Calais, Xavier Hamilton recorded two singles to help Bucksport post the win.

Tyler Winchester, David Gross, Danny Coose and Roger Foss each chipped in with a single for the winners.

Alex Newsome, Tony Dana, Everett Hanson and Blake Collins each notched a single for Calais.

Ellsworth 7, Acadia 6

Bradley Smith singled drive and drove in a run to help Ellsworth prevail.

Smith also struck out six in 4 ⅔ innings. Sam Giffin chipped in with two singles.

Alden Fournier paced Acadia with a double, single and RBI.

D3 baseball, 9-10

Brewer 17, Bangor West 5: Brewer: Cody Monroe 3 singles, Marty Hewes single, double; Chris Young double; Bangor West: Nick Bordeau home run.

Hermon 12, Lincoln 1: Hermon: Chris Sherman 2 singles, Carson Provty double; winning pitcher: Sherman (10 strikeouts); Lincoln: Cody Hanscom single.


Hampden-Newburgh 10, Houlton 5: HN: Rece Poulin 2 singles, Kent Oliver 2 singles, Mychal Beaulieu 2 singles; winning pitcher: Sam Economy; Houlton: Keegan Gentle 2 singles.

All-star baseball and softball games should be reported to the BDN via email to: bdnsports@bangordailynews.com

Coaches are required to list information for both teams, with first and last names of players. Info should include key highlights and stats for leading hitters and pitchers.

Linescores may also be included.

The game result should be emailed as soon as possible on the day it is played.

The host team is responsible for reporting games.
