Madawaska man in critical condition after possible fall from pickup truck

By Nick Sambides Jr., BDN Staff

EAGLE LAKE, Maine — A Madawaska man was in critical condition in a Bangor hospital late Sunday after state police found him lying on Dennis Street after possibly falling from a pickup truck, police said.

Randy Willard, 24, suffered a serious head injury Saturday and was treated at Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent before being transferred to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, state police said.

Investigators suspect that Willard fell from a pickup truck because that’s how the 911 call came in, state police Sgt. Brian Harris said.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call state police in Houlton at 532-5400. Trooper Todd Stetson is the primary investigator and he was assisted at the scene by Detective Scott Bryant and Sgt. Brian Harris.
