Wish all those involved a complete and speedy recovery!

  • Really? Really? An elderly couple seriously injured and you make a tasteless crack? We wonder why crime is rampant, the value of others lives is lower than the dollar.

Richard and his wife are very nice folks and I hope they will both be okay… Sounds very serious…

Hopeful for a complete recovery for both of them. Besides that I hope I’m still riding my bike when I’m 75.

This is so sad and I sure hope they both make a full recovery.  That being said, I have seen so many people their age sitting around the house being bored and depressed.  I’m so happy that they were doing something they enjoyed at that age.  Thoughts are with them and their families.

    Speedy recovery to everyone.

    Was the 17 year old ” distracted ” ?

    • Millicent

the article says that the mc hit the left rear bumper. It wouldn’t matter if the 17 y.o. was distracted, the bike hit from behind, which makes it the m/c drivers fault. I learned that lesson the hard way when I hit another vehicle I was behind.

if you hit someone from behind …. it is totally your fault  ….. that’s why you DON’T tailgate!

unless somebody pulls out in front of you when you are too close to stop.  that would be failure to yield right of way.  The article doesn’t say if he was following this car or it just appeared in front of him.

Why do you ask that? He was hit from behind.

  • Anonymous

The article doesn’t state whether or not the motorcyclists were wearing helmets or not.  I only ask because everytime there is a car crash, they always state whether or not they were wearing seat belts.  Helmets should be mandatory like seat belts.

I can almost tell you they where wearing helmets.Because when there is a crash and they dont have them on thats the first thing they will tell you.But if the people where wearing them and even get killed they dont say a word.HMMMMMMMMMMMM isnt that funny.Aslo I have witnessed two accidents where three people would not have died if they had not had seat belts on.Upside down and could not get the belt unhooked. Three burned to death for that reason.
