Maybe the authorities didn’t see Baker slip away because they had such trouble parking.

This was such a waste of man power,Any one knows a person on a cell phone can say they are anywhere. He could have been anywhere by they time they figured this out.If he had wanted to run he could have been any where in or out of the country.

Cell phones can be tracked by gps in the phones and also which towers they bounce off

      • Tyke

Yeah, but first someone has to be bright enough to figure that out.

hahahaha. pathetic. good to know our local “SWAT Team” is on the ball.

  • Overkill. There were so many hunters, they couldn’t see the turkey. Good thing dick cheney was on vacation.

LIKE I SAID YESTERDAY….50 cops standing outside afraid to knock on the door. This is without a doubt the best story Ive read all month.

  • Anonymous

    Well that’s embarrassing.

  • Anonymous

Come out with your hands up…..We’ve got you surrounded…….Well, except for that spot at the back of the house.

and I have visions of this guy standing behind the cop with the bull horn when they said it.  This is a 3 stooges episode.

  • The guy just walks out of the house during a standoff and books it to Bangor??????? I am not going to say anything more. Enough said..

  • Once he got out the door and slipped out he didn’t have to worry about getting apprehended. Every sheriff and state trooper in Eastern Maine were hanging out by the guys mail box in his driveway. Someone has some splainen to do… He could have caused a lot of truble between LaGrange and Bangor????????

This is rich…I cant stop reading this article…what happened to surrounding the perimeter? What an embarassment to each and every LEO on the property. LOL.

  • Anonymous

Ok, quick question…how many cops do we need to have at a house so the alleged perpetrator can’t just “sneak out?”

    Wow!

  • Tyke

So has anyone told the cops surrounding his house, or are they all still there?

  • Anonymous

LMAO! Needed this story today. I’m still giggling.

    newspaper headline uses ‘snuck’ ?
Man ‘sneaks’ out of house; Man ‘sneaked’ out; Man eludes perimeter guards; Man evades cordon.
    Brimstone denizen  hoofs it.

All those police should be ashamed, how many paid hours were wasted on that? He probably walked right by…

“held police at bay during a lengthy standoff”…..UM, no. He pulled a Houdini and magically made a bunch of cops look REALLY dumb. LOL.

  • Anonymous

    “Snuck?” Really?

    • Tyke

Websters dictionary lists it as a word.

      • Anonymous

Not an appropriate one for a newspaper headline.

  • Anonymous

The headline made me laugh out loud, and the photos showing multiple staff, cruisers and vehicles were even funnier. Way to watch the suspect, gang. Jeeeeeeeeez.

  • Hey SWAT Team.. the standoff is over. go back to base. What a joke.

  • Killah from Calais

We got you surrounded……. ” meow”.

  • Anonymous

On going communications?  With whom?  Oh boy, is there going to be some discussions about “what could be we better next time”.

  • Anonymous

Did they think to ask Dad if anyone else was in the house? I wish I could have seen the expressions when he said he was in Bangor. Priceless!

  • Anonymous

“Snuck”? Really, BDN? “Snuck”? The appropriate, correct word is “sneaked”.

Wicked smaht cops……So the next time a police officer pulls you over and asks ‘do you know why I stopped you?’ you can honestly say ‘because you got D’s in high school?’
