Brewer, Hermon record District 3 victories

BREWER — Kobe Rogerson recorded a triple, double and single to help Brewer edge Holbrook 7-6 in a mutual opener of the Little League All-Star baseball tourney for District 3 ages 11-12 Thursday.

Branden Morneault and Jack Corey each chipped in with two singles and Miles Kirby added one to back up winning pitcher Jack Corey.

Joey Murphy and Levi Williamson each hit home runs for Holbrook and Murphy also singled. Max Perkins added two singles and Nate Smith had one.

Hermon 3, Hampden-Newburgh 2

At Hermon, Zach Nash held Hampden-Newburgh hitless to help Hermon record the victory.

Ryan Hoogterp sparked the offense for the winners with a single and two RBIs while Connor Magliozzi and Nash each added a single.

D1 baseball, 11-12

Coastal 10, Calais 0

At Blue Hill, Jacob Keenan didn’t allow a hit in two innings, striking out six and walking one, to help Coastal collect the victory.

Jacob Keenan drove in three runs with two singles for the winners. Taylor Schildroth chipped in with two singles and scored three runs while Gage clapp had a single and two RBIs.

Coastal recorded 10 total hits and didn’t allow an error.

Jacob Hornbrook and Greg Mitchell each singled for Calais.

Acadians 6, Bucksport 5

At Bucksport, the Acadians scored five runs in the fifth inning to take the victory in the mutual tourney opener.

Nick Stanley, Seth Clark,and Alden Fournier combined on a seven-hitter for the Acadians. Ezra Johnson singled twice for the winners while Dreio Shea and Jacob Mitchell each added a single. Seth Clark added sacrifice fly.

Tanner Stegner and Brody Boynton each singled twice to spark Bucksport, with Stegner driving in two runs. Jacob Emery, Matt Vincent and Brandyn Findlay each added a single.

D3 softball, 9-10

Bangor 17, Hampden 7

At Glenburn, Tessa Solomon singled twice and drove in a run to help spark Bangor and eliminate Hampden.

Bangor is 2-1 and Hamdpen finished at 1-2.

Bangor pitchers Miah Cassum and Grace Hamel held Hampden hitless as the winners advanced to the championship round against unbeaten Hermon at 5:30 p.m. Friday. If Bangor wins, an if-necessary championship game will be played Saturday at 9 a.m.

Coaches are required to list information for both teams, with first and last names of players. Info should include key highlights and stats for leading hitters and pitchers.

Linescores may also be included.

The game result should be emailed as soon as possible on the day it is played.

The host team is responsible for reporting games.
