By Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — A 17-year-old boy took his grandmother’s vehicle without permission early Wednesday morning and was later arrested, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Thursday.

“This kid took his grandma’s car and she wanted to press charges,” the sergeant said.

The boy’s grandmother called police at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday and they caught up with him shortly thereafter.

The teenager, who was not identified because he is a juvenile, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
