Comments for: Maine’s Agriculture and Conservation departments to merge Aug. 30, but little will change

    We are functioning so backwards these days.  The plan should come before the change.  This is not the way to run anything — government or business for that fact.

  • It might look good on paper, and that’s where it matters.  “I know what.  Let’s merge Agriculture and
    Conservation.  Call the press.  I’m going golfing.  Call me if you need me.”

      Golfing? Heck, they got some good deals on golfing stuff at Marden’s-I’m going to Marden’s!!

       You forgot to mention the original proposed merger name: “The Dept of Agri-vation”. :)

    This is great. Let’s merge every state agency into one: Maine Paperpushers Agency. Then we can save a ton of money and the name will actually describe what state workers do!
