Police raid Westbrook house in connection with Falmouth shooting

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

FALMOUTH, Maine — Police on Wednesday raided a house in Westbrook in connection with a shooting in nearby Falmouth earlier that day.

Falmouth police Chief Ed Tolan said authorities obtained a search warrant for the house on Roosevelt Trail and a vehicle that matched the description as one at the Falmouth shooting.

The trouble started at 2 a.m. Wednesday when shots were fired into a home on Route 1. Three adults and a toddler were asleep in the house, but nobody was injured.

Officers from Falmouth, Westbrook, Portland and the Cumberland County Tactical Team executed the “no-knock” warrant, according to Tolan.

Tolan declined to say whether anyone was arrested. He did say some property was recovered from the house but declined to specify what it was since the case is currently being investigated.
