FALMOUTH, Maine — A family of five was awakened when gunshots were fired at their home early Wednesday morning but nobody was injured, according to police.

Falmouth police Lt. John Kilbride said authorities were called to a house on Route 1 after multiple gunshots were fired into the house.

No arrests have been made, and police don’t have any description of the suspect or suspects.

“We don’t know if they were in a vehicle, we don’t know if they were on foot,” Kilbride said. “We don’t know if there’s one, two, three or four.”

Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information should contact Falmouth police at 781-2300.
