DONNA M. GALLANT

MILLINOCKET – Donna M. Gallant, 61, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. Donna was born May 9, 1951, in Lincoln, daughter of John J. and Birdena M. (Oakes) Boutaugh.

Donna graduated from Stearns High School, class of 1970. Donna’s life was working with children – first as a mom, second as a grandmother, as an education tech. at Granite Street School, and also as a daycare worker – she loved children. Donna was more importantly a devoted wife to her husband, Bill, for 41 years.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by a son, Marc of West Gardiner; a daughter, Kylie Chadbourne and husband, Dana, of Ripley; two very special and beloved grandchildren, Hayden Gallant and William Spratt; four siblings, Rowena Farmer, Benjamin Boutaugh and his wife, Chu, Sharon Tanous and her husband, Greg, and Barbara McLean and her husband, Robert; sisters-in-law, Ann Boutaugh, Dorothy Budge and husband, Norman, and Aldea Grover; mother-in-law, Aldea Gallant; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear lifelong friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by three brothers, John O. Boutaugh, Michael C. Boutaugh and Vinal D. Boutaugh; a brother-in-law, John Farmer and Philip Grover; niece, Jalene Farmer; and a nephew, Tyler Boutaugh. The family thanks everyone at Eastern Maine Medical Center for the kindness that was extended to Donna, as well as to her husband, Bill.

Friends may visit with the family 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Millinocket Baptist Church, 297 Penobscot Ave., with Pastor Tim Bossie officiating. Committal services will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
