HOPE, Maine — Four teenagers were charged Monday for allegedly stealing sparklers, alcohol and food from local camps.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office got calls last Saturday night that people were running around Island Avenue and Morton Lane from camp to camp late at night, according to Sheriff Donna Dennison.

Police arrested 19-year-old Troy Landry of Rockport for burglary and theft by unauthorized taking, Dennison said. Two other men and one woman who were all too young to be identified also were charged with burglary and theft.

Landry was brought to Knox County Jail on Monday and is awaiting $500 cash bail.
