BRUNSWICK, Maine — Two people are behind bars Friday after police raided a local motel room.

John David Quinn, 36, and Thomas LaRose, 32, both of Woolwich, were charged with three counts of burglary and further charges are pending, Sagadahoc County Sheriff Joel Merry said in a statement.

The two men were suspected in a string of burglaries in the county, according to Merry.

Among the items recovered in the raid were computers, computer tablets, an Xbox gaming console, jewelry, watches, chain saws, valuable coins and luggage, along with drug paraphernalia, according to Merry. The stolen items reportedly exceeded $10,000 in value.

Both suspects were taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.
