WEST BATH, Maine — The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a pickup truck from a garage on State Road sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The theft was reported at 9:39 a.m. Tuesday. Chief Deputy Brett Strout said a silver 2006 Toyota Tacoma was stolen from a lot at New Meadows Auto at 390 State Road.

Intruders broke into the dealership and stole the key, according to Strout. As of Wednesday morning, no suspects had been identified.

The sheriff’s department remains busy investigating additional reports of burglaries and thefts in Sagadahoc County.

At 9:36 a.m. Monday, a burglary on White Road in Bowdoinham was reported. Strout said an unknown suspect stole a 9 millimeter Beretta handgun from a garage or shed on the property. The theft may have occurred on June 3, Strout said.

Another theft was reported at 9:41 a.m. Monday. Strout said someone entered an unlocked trailer on an individual’s Millay Road property in Bowdoinham sometime during the last six weeks and stole an L.L. Bean bow and ax and fishing equipment. Investigators have yet to identify suspects for either incident, Strout said Wednesday morning.

At about 5 p.m. Friday, the sheriff’s department received a report of a burglary in Woolwich. Strout said intruders entered a house on Nequasset Pines Road sometime within the previous few days and stole multiple electronics as well as a .380 pistol.
