New school director, selectman to fill Stockton Springs seats

STOCKTON SPRINGS, Maine — Wayne Kraeger received 146 votes in Tuesday’s election, enough to win him a seat on the Board of Selectmen. In the three-way race to fill the vacancy left by outgoing chairman Sara Bradford, who is stepping down after nine years on the board, Daniel Coulters received 122 votes and Dawn Furbush received 97 votes.

Sharon Catus will be the town’s newest RSU 20 director, after defeating incumbent Christopher Krause with 180 votes to 153.

Fire Chief Harry Patterson Jr. was easily re-elected with 337 votes, much more than write-in candidates Phillip Dion, who had 2 votes, and Assistant Chief Vernon Thompson, who received 1 vote.
