GUILFORD, Maine — Residents voted to accept School Administrative District 4’s 2012-2013 general budget Tuesday.
Superintendent Paul Stearns said Tuesday night that voters in the district’s six towns passed the $7,162,022 budget by a vote of 351-134.
Voters in Abbot narrowly agreed to pass the budget, 24-23. The rest of the towns, Cambridge, Guilford, Parkman, Sangerville and Wellington, passed the budget by wider margins.
The budget for the next school year is a 5.73 percent overall increase from 2011-2012.
