PITTSFIELD, Maine — Burnham, Detroit and Pittsfield voters will decide Tuesday whether SAD 53 will extend its contract with Maine Central Institute for another 10 years.

Voters will answer yes or no on two ballot questions.

SAD 53’s current 10-year contract with MCI in Pittsfield expires at the end of the 2012-2013 school year. The school district has continuously used MCI as its high school since 1970.

Residents will also vote to approve or reject the budget of $10,116,548 for the 2012-2013 school year that was recommended by the SAD 53 board of directors during its meeting May 2.
