Driver uninjured after crashing car through Brewer Redemption Center

An unidentified woman drove her Subaru Outback through a wall at Brewer Redemption Center on North Main Street shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday.

BREWER, Maine — An unidentified woman drove her Subaru Outback into a building shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday, punching a hole through the wall at Brewer Redemption Center on North Main Street.

Brewer Assistant Fire Chief Chris Dore said the female driver, whose name he didn’t have available, was not injured.

City code enforcement personnel were at the scene soon after the accident assessing damage.

Dore said he believed police would estimate between $25,000 and $30,000 in damage “just to be safe.” Dore said the business would be allowed to remain open.
