PORTLAND, Maine — A Maine-based dog accessory company founded by actress Glenn Close and her husband has been sold.
The Portland Press Herald reported that FetchDog was sold to Potpourri Group Inc., a Chelmsford, Mass., catalog company. The sales price was not disclosed.
FetchDog was launched in Portland in 2007 by Close and her husband, David Shaw, who founded Westbrook-based Idexx Laboratories Inc. Close and Shaw own a home in Scarborough.
The company sells high-end dog bowls, leashes, toys and other products by catalog and on the Internet.
