    Kelsey,
I am an adult who had Scheuermann’s as a kid, but sadly it wasn’t diagnosed until adulthood (due to other family issues, I almost never saw a doctor as a child). As an adult I also discovered I have another rare spinal disease, Arachnoiditis. These two combined have caused years of agonizing pain and endless frustration over the simple fact that if the Scheuermann’s had been treated when I was your age, it might not have progressed to this point. Please take a moment to thank your family for caring enough to make sure you got the help you needed. It may seem sometimes like that’s just what parents do, but you are so incredibly fortunate to have loving caregivers who want nothing more than to see you healthy and happy.

And congratulations! You have an AMAZING attitude for someone who has gone through what you have, especially at your age. You are an inspiration to us all!
