Nokomis Regional High School announces honor parts

NEWPORT, Maine — Nokomis Regional High School Principal Mary Nadeau has announced that the commencement ceremony for the Class of 2012 will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, in the Nokomis gymnasium. Admittance to graduation is by ticket only and admittance to Class Night is first come, first served.

Brynn Cardozo, daughter of Hal Cardozo and Lisa Sawyer of Palmyra, has been named valedictorian of her class. She plans to attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute to major in biomedical engineering.

Alyssa Taylor, daughter of Joel and Holly Taylor of St. Albans, has been named salutatorian of her class. She plans to attend the University of Maine to major in secondary education.

Scholarships and other awards will be presented to graduating seniors at Class Night at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 7.
