AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine’s newest agricultural fair, the Maine Fiber Frolic, is winding down.
The weekend fair, which ends Sunday, provides an early start to the state’s agricultural fair season. It’s being held at the Windsor Fairgrounds.
Visitors could see fiber-producing animals such as alpacas, llamas, goats, sheep and rabbits, learn to make finished products and watch activities like alpaca shearing.
There now are about 2,200 fiber-producing farms in Maine.
