TURNER, Maine — Deputies from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Maine State Police tactical team were working late Monday afternoon to resolve a standoff at a home on Auburn Road.
Deputies were called to the residence at about noon and the tactical team arrived at 1 p.m., according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine State Police.
There is one person inside the home at 1620 Auburn Road, he said at about 5:15 p.m.
McCausland said he did not know why deputies were called to the home.
“Officers are working to resolve the situation in a peaceful manner,” he said.
